About This Site
Things To Do In Chelsea was created in 2005 for
the use and enjoyment of friends, neighbors and visitors in Chelsea,
Michigan. This free community resource is paid for by Surelutions and
our advertisers and sponsors. The money earned from event
ads and feature pages help
keep the site active and growing.
Who Am I?
My
name is Leslie, and I live here in Chelsea, Michigan. I have two school
age children and run a website and graphics
design business from my home. [www.surelutions.com]
My education is in psychology and my career background is in graphic
design. One of the common threads in these two areas of expertise is
taking complicated information and transforming it into a visually
appealing and user-friendly format. These skills definitely come in handy
for organizing the many wonderful resources we have in Chelsea.
I created the Things To Do In Chelsea website in 2005. After
not being able to find a central resource for community events and links,
I decided to create one. It started as a list of 'bookmarks' for my own
use, and then developed into a website for
friends and neighbors. In a very short time, it became a well-respected
and comprehensive resource for residents and visitors to the area.
It continues to grow and consistently receives rave reviews and generous
thanks from people who live in the area, and those who
are planning to visit Chelsea. We are referred to as a key resource
by the City
of Chelsea, the Chelsea
Area Chamber of Commerce, McKune
Memorial Library, Purple
Rose Theatre, Chelsea Festivals
website and
most other major sites in the area.
